Stage a · Normalising furnace
Heat Treatment
After welding, every shell is heat treated in a furnace to relieve the stresses welding leaves in the steel.

Manufacturing & quality
Every cylinder is heat treated, finished in four coats and tested before it leaves our units. Not a sample: every one.

Fig. · Automatic circumferential welding
Technology
The two halves of every shell are joined on an automatic circumferential welding line. The machine lays the same seam on every cylinder, so weld quality stays consistent across the whole run.
Each welded shell then goes through the three stages that decide its quality: heat treatment, surface finish and testing.

Stage a · Normalising furnace
After welding, every shell is heat treated in a furnace to relieve the stresses welding leaves in the steel.
Stage b · Four-coat finish
A four-stage finish protects the shell against corrosion for its working life.
Stage c · Tested fittings
Every cylinder is tested, not a sample, before it leaves our units.
